We are pleased to announce that Manor Road is joining the IBIZ Districts Program! Close to campus but far enough away to have its own distinct flavor, Manor Road has become a favorite destination for restaurants, patio happy hours, and artful entertainment, including the east side’s first community theatre. The district runs from Salina Street at the west to Alexander Avenue on the east, with a largely residential area separating it from Airport Boulevard.
Manor represents a world of food tradition: Southern comfort food, Mediterranean, Thai, Mexican, Tex-Mex, Italian, Peruvian… You will find farm-to-table concepts, a restaurant with its own butcher shop, an award-winning bakery, famous Austin ice cream, freshly squeezed juices, shaved ice, biscuit sandwiches, burgers, and a patio coffee shop, as well as neighborhood bars where you can find real food, craft brews, creative cocktails, a range of authentic mezcal and tequila, and all the old favorites– variously coupled with conversation nooks, ping pong, hula hooping, corn hole, air hockey, and even–in case you get bored–TV. Not to mention parking, which actually exists in this district!
Manor Road also has apartments, convenience stores, automotive services, a head shop, organic apparel for kids, media post-production, waxing, bookkeeping, and tax services, so you can take care of business here and not just go out for food and drinks all the time… not that you shouldn’t!
All locally-owned businesses in the Manor Road IBIZ District are members of AIBA, making it a Premiere District– the first in the IBIZ Districts Program.
