This is the second event in a four-part series. Attend the other events in this series:

Deescalating Situations, September 28, 8:30-10am

Managing Conflict Step by Step, October 24, 11:30am-1pm

No-Fault Language is presented by Kris Donley, Executive Director, Dispute Resolution Center

Before we can assist anyone with their conflict with us, our service/product or our business in general, we must moderate the emotional temperature of the air between us. Learning how to de-escalate rising emotions, separating issues from the people who generate them and identifying and clarifying positions and interests utilizing neutral language techniques is the critical first step.

We’ll enjoy a pizza and salad buffet from Conans Pizza. AIBA events are open to members and prospective members.

Kris Donley, M.Ed., came to the Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) twenty three years ago as Executive Director.  Within that role, she has mediated a variety of civil disputes, victim/offender issues and facilitated large group public policy endeavors, taught professionals and students interested in topics of conflict resolution, consulted in a variety of work and civic settings on related field topics and assisted groups with strategic planning endeavors. Providing statewide leadership, she served as a past Chair of the Texas DRC Directors’ Council for four years and has now served as Treasurer of the Council for the past fourteen years.

Get a FREE Lunch! If you aren’t yet an AIBA member, join AIBA at this event and lunch is on us! If you are an AIBA member, bring a colleague who isn’t yet a member. When they join at the event, we’ll cover both your lunch and theirs!
